Mots-clés : Libye, Tripoli, Qaramanli, Tunis, la mosquée d’Ahmad Pacha, waqf, architecture, décor architectural, baroque, Qallaline Abstract This text focuses on the prestigious architectural complex built in Tripoli between 1734 and 1738 by Ahmad Pasha. Based on the unpublished waqf deeds of the mosque and other sources, this study has allowed us to place the mosque in its urban and architectural context. Close examination of the architectural and decorative elements of this complex reveals the close links between Tunis and Tripoli in the field of construction and architecture: materials such as tiles, columns, capitals and carved stone slabs came from Tunis. The astonishing similarities between the Libyan mosque and that of the Sabbâghîn in Tunis lead us to believe that the team that built the Tripoli Mosque included masons and craftsmen who had previously participated in the construction of the Tunisian mosque built a decade earlier. Keywords: Libya, Tripoli, Qaramanli, Tunis, mosque of Ahmad Pacha, waqf, architecture, architectural decor, waqf, baroque, Qallaline. Mots-clés : Hammam-Lif, urbanité, sociabilité, cartes postales, ville coloniale Abstract The city of Hammam-lif, beylical nucleus and modest colonial city at the end of the XXth century, knew a notorious development as a thermal bathing resort at the beginning of the XXth century and saw its apogee in the 1950s. The urbanity, which was manifested from the start, has known persistence and reinvention over time but also a certain contemporary fragilities. Through the postcards collected, we see an evocation of the spatial and social urbanity of Hammam-Lif which has endured despite different variations and intensities and which can still be observed today in the streets, squares, markets, cafés and popular festivals of the city which, as public spaces, host forms of sociability with urban proprieties. Keywords: Hammam-Lif, urbanity, sociability, postcards, colonial town. », Al-Sabîl : Revue d’Histoire, d’Archéologie et d’Architecture Maghrébines [En ligne], n°11, Année 2021.
